Starting a new…

So here I am. I’ve let myself go for the past few weeks but I’m going to dedicate my next few months here to my diet. I’ve really let myself go. Junk food for the past 4 nights. Probably around 208-210 pounds. But I’ve got until the end of August. So that’s around 2 months to get my shit together. This week I just want to get acclimated and then start on June 2 which is a Monday. I’m hoping to get down to 180 or so, so 30 pounds in 2 months.

15 pounds per month which is 4 pounds per week. I can manage that. Here’s my plan as far as a diet go. It’s kinda strange but I’m thinking it might work.

10pm Breakfast = Coffee + Cereal

11-3 Library Study

3pm Lunch = Eggs + Bread + Chilli

8pm Dinner = Meat/Fish + Potatos + Chilli + Vegetables + Bread

10pm = Gym for 1-2 hours

Got the idea from old chuckwagon / southwestern meals. Seems like it worked for them. So that’s around 400 calories for breakfast, 600 for lunch, 600 for dinner.  Add 200 for additional things like soda or something. That’s around 1800 calories which is good. At the gym I’m hoping to go 5 times a week, at least 1 hour. 600 calories for 5 days. Then on the weekends a nice long walk for 40 minutes, 150 calories for 2 days. Oh yeah no cheat days either. Another thing, Thursday night I’ll be aiming for 1200 calories. So:

2300 – 1800 x 7 = 3500

+ 600 x 5 + 150 x 2 = 3300

Total = 6,800 around 2 pounds

2 months = 8 weeks

16 pounds, so around 190 pounds. So I’m being realistic when I set my goal for 190 pounds. Let’s do this.

IM BACK AND GONNA GO AT IT HARD.

I FELL OFF BUT I HAVE ALL SUMMER NOW. NOTHING WILL STOP ME AND NOTHING CAN. STARTING MAY 19 2008 WHICH IS A MONDAY, I WILL LOSE MY WEIGHT. I WILL PROBABLY BE AROUND 210 POUNDS BUT I WILL GET TO 170 BY SEPTEMBER. GO HARD OR GO HOME SON.

Last week I was kinda getting acclimated back to my diet. Saturday and Sunday I was binging while watching The Wire (which is incredible) and all throughout the week I didn’t really eat well. I think it’s just me getting used to limiting my intake as well as not going to the gym. I’ve got a lot of Filipino food that shouldn’t be considered diet food but I’m working with it. I’m not logging food either, so I’m hoping this will make it easier to transfer from my diet world to the real world.

Anyway, I went to the gym for an hour, hoping to do that for the rest of the week. 203-205 pounds right now, I’ll be happy to get 193-195 pounds by the end of April. Thats at least 3-5 pounds off from my last prediction but oh well. I’ll try my best and see what happens.

So I’d just like to say that I’m thankful for this blog and the few readers that have stumbled upon it. I’ve lost around 10 pounds (hopefully I don’t jinx myself), with 4 more days left to go until my vacation. 4 weeks / 10 pounds = around 2.5 pounds per week which is just what I calculated.

Weighed myself, and I’m around the 200 mark. I can’t even imagine saying my weight is 190 something… exciting dude

Anyway, went to the gym 60 minutes, and oh yeah, my new calorie target is 1650 calories.

Oh and the new official weigh in day is March 31, 2008 which is APRIL 13, 2008 which is a Monday. So that’ll give me 3 weeks. Um, I’m hoping to get to 195 pounds by then. And I’ll be in SF at home for a week, so I might gain some weight. But ya, that’s my goal for right now. wow, can’t believe that my goal ISN”T in the 200s but now in the high 100s.

 So yeah I thought of something the other day. I equate food with good thoughts and happy feelings, so I’m giving up watching television or shows while I eat, and reserve that just for binge days. Hopefully I’ll get it through my head that I eat to enjoy as well as to fuel myself, not just for pure enjoyment.

Anyway, I got my measuring tape so here are my measurements:

edit* felt pretty shitty, put on some old pants, almost cried. decided to check my weight because i didn’t care anymore and it said i was 202 calories (which probably includes water weight). so yeah, i’m pretty happy lol

So it’s been 3 weeks, and I feel good about the diet. I notice my stomach getting smaller, it’s easier for me to stand up from bed (LOL). Not really noticing my clothes fitting better though, but I will be taking measurements of my body once I get that measuring tape. Anyway, today I had an “italian sandwhich” with ICB Root Beer (no food), and yeah pretty bad. But I’ll make up for it for the rest of the day. Also went to the gym for 40 minutes… bleh.

I feel horrible. I always do after binge days. Not sure it’s the food or… actually it’s definitely the food because I normally don’t feel that bad about myself. I tell myself every week that binging is the best feeling in the world and it really is for that 40 minutes of eating.. it’s heaven during that time, but directly after there’s so much regret and bloating, it almost counterweighs the good feelings entirely.

But today is a new day, and I’m off to the gym for hopefully at least an hour, then to the Post Office, then Barnes & Nobles to finally get a few books and magazines and hopefully some good healthy food, and then back to the gym.
