Re-Introduction

By Culinary Chemist

Greetings, it is I. I’ve come over from dietandhiphop.blogspot.com, because I wanted to drop the music part of the blog. Also, I was tired of writing for an audience so I thought it would be easier to just start writing for myself. Another thing is that I wanted to start fresh, and this was a good way to mentally do it.

One thing I have to get out of the way is that this blog is not meant to be read, so I will be ranting, mostly coherent, random, gramatically wrong sentences (such as this one).

So let’s get into it. I believe my weight is 205 which is pretty good. I believe it’s the lowest I’ve been for at least a year. I’m actually sure that I was at a lower weight Thanksgiving of last year based on pictures of me in the Haight, I may have been around 200 pounds back then or maybe less. But I looked pretty good. Right now, I’m aiming for 160 or less, because I really want into fit into some nice slacks and look like models for Rick Owens. Yes, materialistic reason for dieting but it’s good motivation. I’m spending like crazy (some of it being rent) but I am hoping to stop, because I’m still a long time away from reaching my goal. Oh, I’ve been buying a ton of clothes in size S and medium. I’m hoping to buy a pair of Lanvin patent sneakers, or some sweet dark clothing with deep textures. Favorite fashion brands as of right now are Rick Owens, MA+, Lanvin, Geller, Attachment, Viridi-Anne, and especially Julius. Not that I could afford any of this stuff, I’m just using my allowance. But I am planning on getting a job after May when my school semester ends, so that I could go into work looking pretty good (for a fat guy). Umm so yeah this week has been pretty good/bad.

Good: Aunt visited, got 4 days at the gym (30 minute plus)

Bad: Lots of food with my aunt

So I pretty much had a lot of days where I broke my diet. I went to Applebees, then had Cajun food (which is pretty amazing, even if its the inauthentic fast food type), and then my usual binge/cheat day on Friday. Then on Saturday and Thursday I was pretty hungry and nearly went up to 2500 calories which is my maximum limit before I gain any weight. I shopped at Frys instead of Trader Joes for food, and I don’t think the Fish and White Bread I got is any good, or good enough to fill me up. So tomorrow I’m starting fresh. This is what I’m planning (and I hope to keep you [if anyone is reading this] informed all the time) as my new diet plan / mindset:

1. Exercise 5 days a week for 60+ minutes.

2. Eat between 1700-2000 calories a day

3. Log my food religiously

I’m hoping to be 200 pounds by the time I go back to San Francisco for my Spring break on March 17th. So that’s a good month. I’m thinking 1500 calories lost per day for one week is uhhh… 1500 x 7 = 9800 which is…9800 wow it’s hard to type numbers in the dark… 9800 / 3500 = 2.8 pounds per week. 2.8 pounds x 4 weeks = 11.2. I’m hoping for AT LEAST 11.2 pounds by March 17th which would bring my to 195… which is pretty exciting to see written on paper, and seen on my scale.

Wish me luck.
